For this speculative design project, I partnered with Birmingham Opera Company, to create set and costume designs for the opera 'Peter Grimes' by Benjamin Britten. Due to Birmingham Opera's interest in performing in old abandoned buildings, we were also given the task of finding a venue to stage the performance.

This dramatic, gritty, opera, set in a small coastal English town, focuses on the titular character, Grimes, who stands accused of killing his young apprentice. He is found not guilty, but this does not stop the people of the town from gossiping and spreading their suspicions about him.​
